We are hiring a Building Caretaker for a condo building on Yates Street, downtown Victoria: a steady weekday-morning role for someone dependable and observant.

What We Offer

- $23.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly via direct deposit
- 10 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM. No evenings or weekends.
- Paid on-site training, plus all equipment and safety gear (PPE) supplied
- WorkSafeBC coverage, 4% vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, and paid sick days
- Employee position, not contract work, and we promote from within

What You’ll Do

- Daily walkthroughs of the building, parkade, and rooftop; report issues to the Property Manager
- Sweep, mop, and tidy the entryway, stairwells, locker rooms, garbage room, and parkade
- Replace burnt-out lights, keep exits clear, and check that drains and doors work
- Support resident moves, coordinate trades access, and distribute notices
- Program fobs and update the enter-phone system (training provided)




- Clear snow when needed and do seasonal rooftop work with a harness and PPE
- Keep a detailed daily log of duties completed

What We’re Looking For We hire for attitude first. Skills can be taught. Character cannot.

- Legally authorized to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship available)
- Available every weekday, 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM, starting October 19
- Punctual, dependable, and comfortable working independently
- Calm, qualified communication with residents, strata council, and property management
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, work outdoors, and do rooftop checks

Caretaking or strata experience is an asset, not a requirement. No vehicle needed. Works well alongside another job or studies.
