Under the direction of the butchery manager, the butcher is the ambassador of the department. He or she displays cuts of meat, gives cooking and recipe advice, and offers a personalized experience to each customer. Finally, he ensures the quality and freshness of the products sold in the department, while ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.

· Comply with the store's dress and personal hygiene code;

· Comply with safety standards and wear personal protective equipment where appropriate;

· Comply with food safety procedures in accordance with departmental requirements;

· Follow the procedures to avoid contamination: hand washing, changing gloves, hairnet, respect for colors for boards and knives, etc.;

· Follow the procedures applicable to the opening and/or closing of the department;

· Advise customers and answer questions about product types, meat shelf life, cuts, etc.;

· Make cuts of meat, poultry and other food products;

· Prepare meats for sale (cutting, tying, packaging,



weighing and labelling); Ensure that refrigerated displays and displays are properly filled;

· Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, displays and work area;

· Monitor product quality and expiry dates, and ensure inventory rotation;

· Keep informed about current products and their popularity;

· Share knowledge related to culinary techniques;

· Prepare the different marinades according to the recipes of the store; Receiving and storing goods in accordance with the cold chain;

· Check food stock levels and fill out purchase orders;
