We are seeking a first and second cook for our camp. You will be on a rotation. You will have to be able to cover any task within a kitchen.

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Camp Cooks to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious meals that energize and delight our campers and staff. Your leadership in the kitchen will ensure food safety standards are met while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.

Duties

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, snacks, and special dietary options in accordance with camp menus and nutritional guidelines
- Supervise kitchen staff and volunteers, providing guidance on food preparation, handling, and safety procedures
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste and maintain freshness
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols throughout all kitchen operations
- Coordinate with camp management to plan menus that accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences
- Oversee food service during meal times, ensuring effective distribution and a positive dining experience for campers and staff




- Lead by example in promoting teamwork, cleanliness, and professionalism within the kitchen environment

Qualifications

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising or team management experience in a busy kitchen or food industry environment
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Previous experience in camp or outdoor hospitality environments is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety, customer service, and teamwork
