Join our team as a Gas Station Clerk / Chester’s Chicken Cook in a fast-paced convenience store environment. This versatile role involves providing excellent customer service at the gas station, preparing and cooking food at Chester’s Chicken, and maintaining the cleanliness of our car wash bays. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cashier duties, assisting customers, preparing fresh food according to established procedures, and ensuring that the store, food preparation areas, and car wash facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.

This position requires flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities throughout the shift.

Duties and Responsibilities1. Gas Station and Convenience Store Duties

- Greet customers, provide friendly service, and assist with inquiries.
- Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system accurately.
- Process cash, debit, credit, and other payment transactions.
- Assist customers with fuel purchases, car wash services, and in-store products.
- Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain the cleanliness of the store.
- Monitor product displays and report low stock or inventory discrepancies.
- Follow cash-handling procedures and all applicable workplace health and safety requirements.

1. Chester’s Chicken Food Preparation and Cooking

- Prepare, season, bread, and cook chicken and other menu items according to Chester’s Chicken procedures.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, packaging, and presentation.
- Monitor cooking times and food temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
- Properly store raw and cooked food and prevent cross-contamination.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, counters, fryers, and food preparation areas.
- Replenish food displays and monitor product freshness.
- Follow food safety regulations, hygiene requirements,



and established cleaning procedures.

1. Car Wash Bay Cleaning and Maintenance

- Clean and maintain car wash bays and surrounding areas.
- Remove debris, litter, mud, and other waste from the wash bays.
- Sweep and wash floors and maintain clean, safe customer access areas.
- Check the general condition of car wash equipment and report malfunctions, damage, or maintenance concerns to management.
- Keep cleaning supplies and equipment organized and stored safely.
- Follow site procedures for handling cleaning products and working around wet floors and car wash equipment.

1. General Duties

- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure working environment across the gas station, kitchen, convenience store, and car wash facilities.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow company policies, operating procedures, and health and safety standards.
- Assist with other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in retail, gas station operations, cashiering, or food service is an asset.
- Experience in food preparation and cooking is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices is an advantage.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and handle transactions accurately.
- Ability to perform cleaning and general maintenance duties, including car wash bay cleaning.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.

Work Environment This position combines convenience store and gas station operations, Chester’s Chicken food preparation and cooking, and car wash cleaning duties. Employees must be comfortable switching between customer service, food preparation, cleaning, and other operational tasks as required.

Pay: $18.25-$22.00 per hour
