Berwick Home Hardware Building Centre located in the Annapolis Valley is looking for a full time Cashier.

Tasks pertinent to the Cashier position;

- Greet customers as they enter the store
- Acknowledge customers as they leave the store
- Ensure customers have a pleasant shopping experience
- Participate in promotional activities
- Operate cash register
- Balance cash and totals
- Scan items and tabulate total payment for goods and services provided
- Process transactions involving money; credit cards/debit cards
- Suggestive selling
- Participate in stocking shelves on truck arrival days
- Keep counter, cart, and foyer area swept and clean




- Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate department
- Use price scanner, interact machine

Work Conditions and physical capabilities

While previous experience is not required it would be beneficial to the position. Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
