We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and customer-focused Cashier with Security Guard License to join our team in Sudbury, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing skilled customer service, handling cash and POS transactions, completing data entry, maintaining accurate cash records, and assisting with vehicle lineups and traffic flow when required.
This position requires a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and personal car to the work location.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Saturday
- Winter Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Summer Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Schedule may vary based on operational requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with customers in a polite, professional, and helpful manner
- Enter customer and transaction information accurately into the computer system
- Handle cash and POS transactions
- Maintain accurate cash till records
- Complete daily cash reconciliation and closing procedures
- Assist with vehicle lineups and traffic flow when required
- Follow workplace procedures and maintain a professional and safe work environment
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Reliable personal vehicle to commute to the work location
- Good English communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to accurately handle cash and transactions
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and dependable
- Ability to work independently and interact professionally with customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous cashier or customer service experience
- Experience handling cash and POS systems
- Previous security or traffic control experience is an asset
