Duties

- Prepare event spaces according to floor plans and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)—moving tables, chairs, and service stations; setting linens, glassware, flatware, and centerpieces; and tearing down spaces post-event, including inventory management and proper storage.

- Transport food safely from the kitchen, serve plated meals or manage buffet lines, and provide attentive table service throughout the event.

- Deliver complete bar service to guests, including poured drinks and accurate cash/credit transaction processing when required.

- Process host payments and settle guest accounts strictly as outlined in the BEOs, and professionally reach out to meeting contacts or event hosts to resolve declined payments or billing issues as needed.

- Maintain a warm, engaging, and qualified demeanor to ensure a pleasant guest experience and respond promptly to special requests.

- Maintain clean service stations, clear and scrape dirty dishes, and adhere strictly to all food handling, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines.

- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff, fellow servers, and event managers to ensure smooth timeline execution and seamless service.

- Understanding of catering best practices, food safety standards,



and proper beverage handling procedures.

- Comfort handling payment transactions, reading BEOs, and handling sensitive payment conversations with clients with discretion.

- Strong interpersonal skills with a comfortable, professional rapport for guest interactions and clear teamwork during busy events.

- Ability to stay organized, calm, and efficient in high-stress, fast-paced environments.

- Reliable transportation to support flexible hours, including late-night event finishes and weekend shifts.

- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Prior customer service experience preferred.

- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

- Ability to multitask.

- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 32.0 per week
