The cementing operator is responsible for performing hands-on, on-site cementing operations under the supervision of a field supervisor. This role focuses on the safe and accurate operation of cementing equipment, including mixers, pumps, and hoses, to prepare and deliver cement slurry in accordance with technical specifications. Core duties include mixing cement and additives to the required consistency, operating pumping systems to deliver slurry downhole, monitoring equipment performance, and assisting with post-job cleanup and equipment maintenance.

The position ensures adherence to HSE protocols and operational procedures, supports the field team in maintaining efficiency, and contributes to achieving high-quality cementing results.

Responsibilities:

- Cement Slurry Preparation and Mixing: Prepare cement slurry strictly in accordance with technical specifications and instructions from the field supervisor. Accurately measure and add cement, additives (such as dispersants, retarders, and accelerators, if applicable), and mixing water into the cement mixer. Operate the mixer to ensure uniform mixing, checking the slurry consistency, density, and viscosity regularly to ensure it meets the required standards for downhole cementing.
- Cementing Equipment Operation: Safely and proficiently operate in office cementing equipment, including slurry mixers, high-pressure pumps, hoses, and valves. Before operation, drive cementing equipment to designated working place, inspect equipment for leaks, damage, or malfunctions, ensuring all components are in good working order. During operation, monitor pump pressure, flow rate, and other key parameters to maintain stable and efficient operation, adjusting settings as directed by the field supervisor. After operation, drive cementing equipment back to original place.
- Slurry Pumping and Delivery: Assist in connecting and securing cementing hoses and pipelines to ensure a tight, leak-free connection.

Operate the pumping system to deliver the prepared cement slurry downhole at the specified pressure and flow rate, following the established pumping sequence. Monitor the slurry delivery process closely to detect any abnormalities, such as blockages or leaks, and report them to the field supervisor immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance and Inspection: Perform routine maintenance on cementing equipment before, during, and after operations. Clean mixers, pumps, hoses, and other components to prevent slurry buildup and corrosion. Check fluid levels, lubricate moving parts, and tighten loose connections to ensure equipment reliability. Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or wear to the field supervisor for timely repair or replacement.
- HSE Compliance and Safety Practices: Strictly adhere to all HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) protocols and on-site safety regulations. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots at all times. Follow safe operating procedures to avoid hazards such as high-pressure fluid leaks, equipment entanglement, or chemical exposure. Participate in pre-operation safety briefings and report any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
- On-site Support and Collaboration: Work closely with the field supervisor and other team members to ensure smooth execution of cementing operations. Assist in moving and positioning equipment, handling cement and additive materials, and preparing the job site for operations. Follow instructions from the field supervisor promptly, provide feedback on equipment performance or operational challenges, and support team efforts to meet project timelines and quality standards. Provide training and guidance,

share experiences with new employees to help them understand job duties, safety procedures, and proper work practices.
- Post-job Cleanup and Documentation: Assist in post-cementing cleanup activities, including flushing and cleaning equipment, hoses, and the job site to remove residual cement slurry. Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company and environmental regulations. Record basic operational data, such as material usage, equipment run times, and any issues encountered, and submit these records to the field supervisor for documentation.
- Quality Control Assistance: Assist the field supervisor in conducting on-site quality checks, such as measuring slurry density or viscosity, and documenting test results. Ensure that all materials used (cement, additives, water) are stored properly and not contaminated, and report any discrepancies in material quality or quantity to the field supervisor.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
