Become an integral member of Yukon Hospitals as a Chemotherapy Staff Nurse at Whitehorse General Hospital. Deliver patient care with a focus on chemotherapy best practices and collaboration in a supportive environment. In this part time position, you'll report to the Manager of the Ambulatory Care Program. Successful candidates should possess a Diploma or Baccalaureate in Nursing, a chemotherapy certification, and at least one year of relevant experience.
Your role will include engaging with patients through comprehensive nursing and case management while promoting physical and psycho-social well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and implement chemotherapy treatments and care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care
- Educate patients and families about treatment processes
- Monitor patient responses to chemotherapy
- Maintain effective communication and documentation procedures Requirements:
- Diploma/Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Registered with Yukon Registered Nurses Association
- One year of relevant nursing experience
- Current CPR certification
- Chemotherapy designation/certification preferred Support patient health and well-being while working in the beautiful Yukon wilderness.
