Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Childcare Classroom Floater and Assistant Chef! In this dynamic role, you will provide flexible support across multiple classrooms, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages and needs. Duties

- Support classroom teachers by supervising children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play to ensure safety and engagement.
- Assist with implementing educational activities that promote development in areas such as social skills, language, and motor coordination.
- Provide attentive care to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive environment.
- Help prepare and serve nutritious snacks and meals in accordance with health standards and dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and materials regularly.
- Foster positive relationships with children and families through compassionate communication and attentive caregiving.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations across all classroom settings.

Requirements

- Must have ECE Level 1 certification or be currently enrolled in an approved ECE Level 1 course/program.




- A genuine love for working with children.
- Interest in food preparation and kitchen assistance.
- Reliable, flexible, organized, and able to work as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
- Previous childcare or kitchen experience is an asset.
- Prior experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings is essential.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Strong teaching skills combined with a caring approach to caregiving.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments as a floater while maintaining consistency in care.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift light loads throughout the day to support active caregiving tasks.
