Overview

Ironworx Excavating is looking for a highly experienced, hands- on civil construction foreman who can take ownership of a jobsite, confidently lead a crew, and keep work moving safely and efficient.

You must be capable of running a site independently with a crew and heavy equipment without the owner needing to be there to direct day to day operations.

The Role

Plan and supervise daily civil construction activities, including excavation, underground servicing and backfilling. Confidently read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, elevations, grades and construction details. Organize crews, equipment and materials so work progresses efficiently.

Identify problems early, develop practical soulutions and and recognize when an issue requires clarification or approval. Coordinate with site supervisors, inspectors, subcontractors and suppliers. Maintain safe excavation practises, verify locates and enforce site safety requirments.

Check workmanship and grades to prevent mistakes and costly rework. Keep accurate daily records of production, labor, equipment and site conditions. Communicate progress, changes and concerns clearly to management.

What were looking for





Extensive hands on civil construction experiences and a proven record of leading crews. Strong experience with underground utilities, excavation, pipe installation and grading. Ability to use laser levels and verify elevations, slopes and pipe grades.

Sound judgement around heavy equipment, excavation sequencing and site logistics. Confidence making decisions and solving problems under pressure. A dependable leader who sets clear expectations, holds the crew accountable and leads by example.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Heavy equipment operating experience is required.

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
