We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a professional setting where cleanliness and hygiene are prioritized. Candidates must be comfortable travelling throughout Prince Edward County and the surrounding county areas, including driving 30+ minutes to various job sites.

Duties

- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in various areas such as offices, restrooms, and common spaces.
- Maintain the cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables as needed.
- Follow established safety procedures and use personal protective equipment during cleaning tasks.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.




- Adhere to company policies regarding cleaning standards and procedures to ensure consistent quality of service.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Travel to various client locations throughout the county as scheduled.

Experience & Requirements
- Custodial experience or a background in commercial cleaning is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for new hires.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment is an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to drive to job sites throughout the county are required.
- Must be comfortable driving 30 minutes or more each way to various job sites, depending on client location.
- Flexibility to travel between different client locations as required.
- Prior experience in similar environments will be considered an asset but is not required. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
