Co-op Job Coordinator

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Co-op Job Coordinator to develop employer partnerships, coordinate student work placements, and support career development programs.

The successful candidate will connect students with employment opportunities, maintain relationships with employers, and ensure successful co-op placements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain relationships with employers and industry partners.
- Identify and secure co-op placements, internships, and employment opportunities.
- Match students with suitable positions based on their qualifications and program requirements.
- Assist students with resumes, interviews, job searches, and career preparation.
- Coordinate placement applications, interviews, documentation, and work-term schedules.
- Organize job fairs, networking events, and employer information sessions.
- Maintain accurate student, employer, and placement records.
- Monitor placement progress and help resolve workplace concerns.
- Track placement outcomes, employer satisfaction, and program performance.
- Collaborate with academic staff and career services teams to improve student employment outcomes.





Qualifications

- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Career Development, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in employer relations, recruitment, career services, or co-op coordination.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain employer partnerships.
- Solid communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing multiple placements, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a college or post-secondary institution.
- Knowledge of the British Columbia employment market.
- Familiarity with work-integrated learning and student placement programs.
- Experience organizing career fairs and employer networking events.

Working Conditions

- Primarily office-based, with occasional employer visits and career events.
- Some scheduling flexibility may be required during peak placement periods.

Salary: $50,000 annually.

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
