EB Property Services and Contracting is a commercial property maintenance and contracting company serving the Edmonton area. As winter approaches, we are expanding our snow management team to ensure our clients' properties remain safe and accessible no matter what the Alberta winter throws at us.

The Role

We are currently hiring reliable, hardworking individuals for our commercial snow removal crews. Whether you are an experienced heavy equipment operator (skid steers, loaders) or a dedicated manual shoveler, we have a spot for you on our team. You will be responding to winter weather events, often working overnight or early morning hours, to explicit commercial parking lots, walkways, and entryways.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond promptly to dispatch calls during and after snow events.
- Clear snow from commercial walkways, entrances, and high-traffic areas using shovels, snowblowers, and mechanical sweeps.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in tight commercial parking lots (for Operator roles).
- Apply ice melt, salt, and sand as directed to prevent slip hazards.
- Document site conditions by taking clear photos and logging work progress through our mobile site management software.
- Perform basic pre-start checks and routine maintenance on assigned tools and equipment.
- Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and site-specific protocols.

Requirements

- Availability:



Must be available on an on-call basis, including overnights, weekends, and holidays. Weather is unpredictable, and our team needs to be ready to mobilize.
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation to get to the shop or directly to commercial sites within Edmonton.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in extreme cold and adverse weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous experience in commercial snow removal, landscaping, or general labor is highly preferred. Experience operating skid steers or plows is a major asset and qualifies for higher starting rates.
- Safety Mindset: A strong commitment to workplace safety (CSTS or similar safety tickets are a bonus).
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using a smartphone to receive dispatches and upload site documentation photos.
