Shape community justice initiatives with the Cold Lake First Nations as a Restorative Measures Coordinator. This position entails co-developing and implementing a community-based restorative justice program. As the coordinator, you will work closely with the Director of Community Safety, Elders, leadership, and partner agencies to drive restorative initiatives fundamental to community healing.
Your role includes conducting outreach and ensuring cultural practices are embedded within programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Co-develop community restorative justice programs
- Facilitate restorative justice circles for healing and resolution
- Recruit and support facilitators and circle keepers
- Liaise with law enforcement and community partners
- Track outcomes and maintain confidential case files Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in restorative justice or social work
- Experience in facilitating mediation or circles
- Understanding of trauma-informed practices
- Solid organizational and reporting skills
