Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Community Support Worker (CSW) to join our team in Southeast Calgary.

As a Community Support Worker, you will provide one-on-one support to an adult woman with a disability, helping her participate in meaningful recreational, social, and community activities. She enjoys swimming, shopping, visiting the mall, watching movies, going to the zoo, dining at restaurants, and visiting Walmart.

About the Role

Community Support Workers at CPLF support individuals with disabilities in achieving greater independence, fulfillment, and autonomy. You will encourage community involvement, support personal growth, and help ensure the individual's safety, dignity, and overall well-being.

Position Details

- Position: Community Support Worker (CSW)
- Location: Southeast Calgary and surrounding areas
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Pay: $21.53 per hour
- Benefits: Health benefits after 3 months of employment

What We Offer CPLF provides training and support to help you succeed in your role, including:

- CPLF Orientation
- Medication Administration Training
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training
- Abuse Protocol Training
- Positive Behaviour Support Training

Requirements The successful candidate must:

- Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Be compassionate, empathetic, patient, and reliable
- Be comfortable with swimming and participating in recreational activities




- Be comfortable providing personal care
- Be physically able to assist with pushing, lifting, and transfers, as the individual uses a wheelchair
- Be available to work Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Have a Police Clearance with a Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past two years
- Have a valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Have access to a reliable vehicle
- Be able to provide $2 million in third-party liability vehicle insurance if hired
- Have, or be willing to obtain, valid First Aid Level C certification within three months of hire
