Construction Security Officer – Golden, BC

Mountain Eagle Security is seeking a reliable, professional Security Officer to provide security services at an active construction project in downtown Golden, British Columbia.

The project is a four-storey mixed-use commercial and residential building currently under construction. We are looking for an officer who can provide a professional and visible security presence to help maintain a safe and secure environment for construction workers, site visitors, contractors, and project assets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional looking for consistent, long-term daytime work in Golden.

Position Details

Location: Golden, BC

Schedule: 7 days per week

Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Total Hours: Approximately 30-40 hours per week

Position: Construction Security Officer

Employment Type: Full-time / Long-term Assignment for 3 Months

Your Role The primary purpose of this position is to provide a visible, professional security presence at the construction site and help identify and address potential security concerns before they become larger problems.

Responsibilities will include:

- Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the site.
- Monitor access to the construction property and ensure only authorized individuals enter the site.
- Monitor workers, contractors, visitors, and deliveries entering and leaving the property.
- Conduct regular foot patrols of the construction site and surrounding areas.
- Monitor construction equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, and other project assets.
- Watch for unauthorized access, trespassing, theft, vandalism, suspicious activity, or other security concerns.
- Maintain awareness of activity occurring around the property and report concerns appropriately.




- Respond professionally to incidents or disturbances and contact emergency services when required.
- Assist in maintaining a safe environment for workers, visitors, and contractors.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and complete clear and concise incident reports when required.
- Communicate effectively with the construction site supervisor and designated client contacts.
- Follow all site-specific procedures, post orders, and directions provided by Mountain Eagle Security and the client.
- Maintain a calm, professional approach when dealing with members of the public or individuals who may be present around the property.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is professional, observant, dependable, and comfortable working independently.

The successful candidate should have:

- A valid BC Security Worker Licence.
- Previous security experience is preferred but not necessarily required.
- Strong observation and situational-awareness skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
- Positive report-writing skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to recognize and appropriately report suspicious or concerning activity.
- A professional appearance and attitude.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- The ability to work independently for extended periods.
- The ability to walk and patrol an active construction site.
- The ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.




- Reliable transportation to and from the site is strongly preferred.
- Employee must provide their own safety footwear.

Construction Experience Previous construction-security experience is an asset, but it is not required.

What is most important is that you are comfortable working around an active construction site, interacting professionally with workers and members of the public, and maintaining a consistent security presence.

Long-Term Opportunity

This is expected to be a long-term/semi-permanent assignment, providing an opportunity for the right individual to establish themselves in a consistent security position.

Start Date

We are currently working to establish a local security team in Golden. We therefore require staff as soon as possible.
