Certified CCA – Self-Employed Independent Contractor | $35/Hour

We are currently recruiting Certified Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs) who are self-employed independent contractors for 4- 6 month contract opportunities across Nova Scotia.

We are looking for qualified, compassionate, reliable, and experienced CCAs who can deliver high-quality care and support to clients.

This opportunity is specifically for self-employed CCAs seeking independent contract work, not permanent or regular employee positions.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Support clients with daily routines and personal care needs.
- Follow individual client care plans.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive care environment.
- Report changes in client conditions as required.
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid CCA certification is mandatory.
- Must be self-employed and able to enter into an independent contractor agreement.
- Previous experience in home care, community care, or long-term care is an asset.




- Current criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, professional, and compassionate.
- Ability to work independently and provide quality care.
- Reliable transportation may be required depending on assignment location.

Contract Details & Compensation
- $35.00 per hour
- 4-month independent contractor agreement
- Contract assignments available throughout Nova Scotia.
- Contractors are responsible for their own applicable tax obligations.
- Travel expenses and accommodation are not provided.
- Assignments are subject to availability and operational needs.
