Job Summary The Royal Wood Shop is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Contractor Desk Specialist to join our team in Sharon, Ontario.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the lumber and door industry, experience working directly with contractors, and a good understanding of building materials and contractor needs. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, is knowledgeable about construction materials, and can work efficiently in a busy retail and warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

- Serve contractors and customers at the Contractor Desk
- Assist customers with product selection, pricing, availability, and orders
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors and trade customers
- Prepare quotes, sales orders, and special orders
- Answer product and application questions
- Coordinate orders with the warehouse and purchasing team
- Follow up on contractor orders and special requests
- Assist with inventory checks and product availability
- Pick and prepare customer orders when required
- Help load and unload materials
- Maintain an organized, clean, and professional Contractor Desk area
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally




- Work closely with other team members to ensure orders are accurate and completed on time

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience in the lumber and/or door industry is required
- Previous experience working directly with contractors and tradespeople
- Solid knowledge of lumber, doors, building materials, and related products
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and understand product specifications and measurements
- Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale/order entry systems
- Must be available to work full-time, including Saturdays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation
