Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook/Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional meal services within a healthcare or assisted living environment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals and assisting with food service operations to ensure residents and clients receive high-quality care and attention. Your enthusiasm and commitment to food safety, sanitation, and customer service will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes health and well-being.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook large quantity meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and resident preferences while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Assist with food handling, storage, sanitation, and cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Serve meals promptly and courteously to residents or clients, ensuring proper portioning and presentation.
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices and documentation of food temperatures and storage conditions.
- Familiarity with the use of kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of special therapeutic diets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, dining areas, and food preparation surfaces throughout shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery and exceptional customer service experiences.
- · Experience in quantity food preparation.
- Ability to understand oral and written direction.
- Ability to lift heavy objects,



stand and walk short distance throughout the day.
- Must be proficient at multi-tasking and working at a quick pace.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Experience in food service operations including serving meals and managing kitchen responsibilities
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions related to dietary restrictions or special meal plans
- Demonstrated commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and protected food handling practices
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude toward residents or clients
- Food Handlers Certificate Mandatory
- MUST obtain Covid 19 and Flu Vaccine yearly
- Must be able to work all shifts - Days, Evenings & Weekends
