Work Model: Hybrid (minimum 3 in-office days per week)
Location: Toronto, ON
Internship Term: January 4, 2027 – April 2, 2027
Position Summary
Our client is Unilever — a global, purpose-driven company whose brands are loved by millions, including iconic names like Dove, Shea Moisture, Vaseline, Axe, TRESemmé, Hellmann’s, and Knorr, and innovative brands like Liquid I.V. and OLLY.
We’re looking for a driven, analytical, and customer-focused student to join Unilever Canada’s Customer Strategy & Planning team as a Customer Supply Chain Analytics Intern.
This role supports Unilever’s customer supply chain operations, helping connect customer needs, operational execution, and data-driven decision-making to improve service performance for one of Unilever Canada’s strategic retail partners.
You’ll work at the intersection of Customer Development, Customer Experience, Order Management, Warehouse, Transportation, and Supply Chain teams — turning operational data into practical insights, supporting issue resolution, and helping translate business priorities into customer-ready execution.
Throughout the internship, you’ll benefit from a comprehensive onboarding experience, a dedicated buddy, a direct line manager, learning opportunities, and access to leadership. The program culminates in end-of-term presentations where you’ll showcase your key accomplishments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build experience in supply chain, analytics, operations, or consumer packaged goods.
The Perfect Person for the Role
You’re a natural leader who looks for opportunities to improve how work gets done, takes ownership of your deliverables, and brings energy to solving customer and supply chain challenges.
You’re a change-maker who believes in continuous improvement and is motivated by finding better ways to serve customers, reduce complexity, and strengthen execution.
You’re a strategic thinker who can connect operational details to broader business priorities, and a storyteller who uses data to generate actionable insights and communicate recommendations to different audiences.
Most importantly, you have a competitive spirit — you’re motivated by improving performance and helping Unilever win with its strategic customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Data Management and Analysis — Access, manage, and analyze customer supply chain data to support customer service performance, issue resolution, and operational reporting
- Customer Execution Support — Monitor order, shipment, inventory, and compliance activities to help ensure customer requirements are understood and executed effectively
- Insight Generation — Investigate service gaps, identify root causes, and translate findings into clear summaries and recommended corrective actions
- Reporting and Storytelling — Prepare recurring reports, dashboards, and business updates that convert data into actionable insights for cross-functional partners
- Cross-Functional Collaboration — Work closely with Customer Development, Customer Experience, Order Management, Warehouse, Transportation, and Supply Chain teams to support customer-ready execution
- Customer and Operational Advocacy — Represent the voice of the customer by helping internal teams understand customer requirements, recurring execution challenges, and opportunities to improve service
- Continuous Improvement — Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying gaps, simplifying workflows, and supporting solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer outcomes
- Presenting internship project findings and key accomplishments to business leaders at the end of the program
Your Experience In addition to everything outlined in The Perfect Person for the Role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and connect insights to business actions
- Effective communication skills and a practical,
creative approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners
- Understanding of customer requirements, operational constraints, and how execution impacts service outcomes
- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with data, reporting inputs, and operational follow-ups
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
- Lookups
- Pivot Tables
- Formulas
- Power BI dashboard development experience is preferred
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate different systems, portals, tools, and reporting platforms
- Basic understanding of data science concepts, automation, or analytics tools is an asset
- Eligibility to work full-time in Canada for the duration of the internship
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of 3 full in-office days per week at Unilever Canada’s head office (160 Bloor Street East, Toronto), as determined by the Line Manager
- Reliable Wi-Fi and a private workspace for remote days
