Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble deli products according to company standards, including slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing salads or sandwiches.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system, such as Micros POS, accurately handling transactions, cash handling, and processing payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area by following food safety protocols and sanitation procedures.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service by assisting customers with product selections, upselling items, and answering questions about products.
- Manage time effectively to ensure product freshness, stock levels are maintained, and the display area is attractive at all times.
- Restock shelves with fresh products while rotating stock to minimize waste.




- Follow food handling guidelines diligently to ensure safety standards are met across all aspects of food preparation and service.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred; restaurant experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Experience with cashiering systems such as Micros POS or similar POS systems.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures, food handling regulations, and proper kitchen practices.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks as needed.
