· Negotiate group and event agreements within established guidelines, balancing client needs with profitability and operational requirements.

· Oversee the complete client journey from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring clear communication, service recovery and repeat business.

· Lead pre-convention and event meetings with clients and internal teams to confirm program details, room blocks, menus, audiovisual requirements and service expectations.

· Partner closely with Food and Beverage, Culinary, Banquets, Front Office, Revenue Management and Operations to ensure flawless event execution.

· Prepare and review group pace, definite business, catering forecasts, pickup, conversion, wash and revenue reports; recommend action as needed.

· Coordinate opening readiness for ballroom, meeting rooms, pre-function space, event equipment, collateral, systems, templates and service standards.

· Maintain accurate records in sales and event systems, ensuring contracts, event details, billing instructions and client communications are complete and current.

· Represent the hotel at industry events and client functions, and cultivate relationships with planners, associations, agencies and local organizations.

· Maintain compliance with Le Méridien and Marriott brand standards, company policies, licensing requirements and health and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

· Minimum of seven years of progressive group sales, catering sales or event-management experience in a full-service, upper-upscale or luxury hotel.
