Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to empower individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. In this role, you will provide personalized care and assistance, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for each person you support. Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being
- Support with medication administration according to care plans, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental health and social engagement
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a protected environment
- Assist with mobility and transfer techniques,



including heavy lifting when necessary, using proper safety protocols
- Document care activities accurately in client records and communicate updates with team members effectively

Experience

- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in assisted living environments is highly preferred
- Background in patient care, nursing home settings, senior care, hospice care or home care is advantageous
- Familiarity with dementia care and caregiving techniques enhances your ability to support diverse needs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential for certain tasks
- Experience in medication administration, meal preparation, cleaning, and general caregiving duties is desirable
- Strong communication skills combined with a caring attitude are vital for building trusting relationships with clients
