Market 49 Fine Foods is a growing local food producer making handcrafted meals from high-quality local ingredients, with no preservatives. Everything is made by hand in our open-concept glass kitchen in downtown Aldergrove, where customers can watch the work happen. We’re growing fast and looking for a reliable, flexible team member to split time between dish, prep, and the occasional sales shift.

The schedule

- 4 shifts a week, 10 hours each
- Weekday shifts, with every weekend off (a long weekend, every weekend)
- Full-time preferred, but part-time is open to the right candidate
- Schedule may change as the business grows, but this is the current setup

What you’ll do Dish & kitchen

- Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Keep the dish area, floors, and kitchen clean and organized
- Handle garbage, recycling, compost, and putting away deliveries
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards

Prep

- Help the cooks with prep: washing, peeling, chopping, portioning, and packaging
- Label and store product properly

Sales (occasional)

- Work the occasional sales shift serving customers




- Answer questions about our products, take payments, and keep displays stocked and tidy

What we’re looking for

- Reliable and on time. The kitchen counts on you
- Happy to switch between tasks during the day
- Friendly and comfortable talking with customers
- Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs
- Kitchen experience is a plus but not required. We’ll train the right person
- FoodSafe is an asset
- Sense of urgency (we are a high volume kitchen so speed is key)

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week

Experience:
- Kitchen: 1 year (preferred)
