Sauvage is a Contemporary Canadian restaurant, accredited with helping to create the definition of Canadian cuisine. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of our kitchen while supporting the high standards of service that define Sauvage.

Key Responsibilities

- Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to the highest standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dishwashing station throughout service.
- Ensure clean dishes, cookware, and equipment are properly dried, organized, and returned to their designated storage areas.
- Assist the kitchen team by ensuring clean plates, cookware, and serviceware are consistently available during service.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, sinks, equipment, and designated work areas.
- Complete daily opening and closing cleaning duties, ensuring the kitchen and dish pit are left clean and ready for the next service.
- Sweep and mop floors, manage garbage and recycling, and maintain clean waste disposal areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing.
- Handle dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment carefully to minimize breakage and damage.
- Assist with basic food preparation and additional kitchen duties when required.




- Communicate effectively with chefs, cooks, and other team members to support smooth and efficient service.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by the Chef or management team.

Qualifications and Skills

- Previous dishwashing or restaurant experience is an asset but not essential.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional kitchen team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry kitchen items as required.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
