Brunswick Lift Rentals

Dartmouth

Coordinate deliveries. Keep teams informed. Help equipment move safely and efficiently.

Brunswick Lift Rentals is growing and remains committed to providing customers with reliable service and equipment solutions in a rapid-paced market. With experience providing aerial lift and material handling equipment, we continue to grow through strong customer relationships, expanded offerings, and value-added service.

We are looking for an organized, customer-focused Dispatcher to join our Dartmouth team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who communicates clearly, manages changing priorities calmly, and takes pride in keeping customers, drivers, and branch teams informed.

What You'll Do

As Dispatcher, you will serve as the communication hub for daily equipment movement. You will coordinate deliveries, pickups, exchanges, service-related moves, and inter-branch transfers while supporting safe, responsive, and productive branch operations.

- Schedule equipment deliveries, pickups, exchanges, service-related movements, and inter-branch transfers based on customer commitments, geography, urgency, and equipment availability.
- Assign routes and jobs to drivers based on workload, delivery and pickup timing, route efficiency, jobsite requirements, and branch priorities.
- Maintain the daily dispatch board with current information on driver movements, equipment status, deliveries, pickups, and customer changes.
- Respond to same-day, urgent, or emergency requests while balancing safety, driver availability, equipment readiness, and branch capacity.
- Communicate delivery and pickup timing to customers and provide prompt updates when schedules, access conditions, or equipment readiness change.
- Coordinate with Service, Yard, Inside Sales, Sales, Parts, Drivers, and branch leadership to confirm equipment is inspected,

serviced, fuelled, staged, and ready.
- Review and maintain accurate delivery tickets, work orders, digital logs, route summaries, dispatch records, and related documentation.
- Communicate route details, jobsite requirements, PPE expectations, safety requirements, and securement expectations to drivers.
- Support route and load planning that reduces travel time, duplicate trips, empty loads, fuel use, and unnecessary outside hauling.
- Track dispatch measures such as on-time deliveries and pickups, route efficiency, outside hauling, productivity, and return cycle time.

What Makes You Successful

- You are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- You communicate respectfully and professionally with customers, drivers, and cross-functional branch teams.
- You make practical scheduling decisions, adjust quickly when priorities change, and take ownership of accurate follow-through.
- You remain calm and solution-focused when responding to delays, urgent requests, route constraints, or equipment readiness concerns.
- You are safety-minded and reinforce safe driving, PPE, load securement, jobsite requirements, and branch safety routines.
- You look for ways to improve routing, yard flow, documentation, communication, and customer service.

Qualifications

Required

- Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, time management, organization, scheduling,

and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate dispatch records, digital logs, delivery documentation, route summaries, and system updates.
- Commitment to following and reinforcing safe work procedures, PPE expectations, securement requirements, and branch safety routines.
- Ability to work legally in Canada.

Preferred

- High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, equipment rental, customer service, construction operations, or another fast-paced branch environment.
- Experience dispatching drivers, equipment, materials, deliveries, or service-related field activities.
- Familiarity with rental management systems, dispatch boards, route-planning tools, work orders, digital logs, and equipment availability processes.
- Understanding of load securement, jobsite access requirements, equipment staging, yard flow, and delivery and pickup sequencing.
