Summary;

Drillers Assistants are licensed Well Technicians or are working towards their WT License. They are to actively assist and learn the responsibilities of operating and maintaining of our heavy drill rigs. Drilling Assistants are key members of the drilling teams performing and learning all the steps of installing wells and are the next generation of our successes in all drilling projects.

Specific Job Duties;

· Learn to operate and maintain sonic, dual rotary and other drill rigs for purposes of;

o Installing dewatering wells and wellpoints o Installing drinking water wells o Installing depressurizing wells, performing coring and exploratory drilling and other drilling services as may be required.

· Operate Skid Steers, Forklifts and other tools or equipment as qualified and required.

· Complete Safety and Maintenance inspections and other documentation as required.

· Execute installations in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with O.Reg. 903 and O. Reg. 213/91

· Learn how to plan for job materials and logistics.

· Learn and assist with developing wells with air, water or other methods as appropriate to ensure maximum production.

· Learn and assist with pumping tests and how to install pumping equipment as may be required.

· Assist with installation and maintenance of dewatering equipment as may be required

Work Environment;

· Primarily Outdoor, all seasons





· Construction & Residential sites primarily in Southern Ontario

· Drilling and Construction Hazards, ie machinery, noise etc.

· Based from 23 Small Cres. Oro Medonte

· Knowledge and experience with heavy drills, equipment and techniques an asset

· Knowledge and experience with well installations, testing and development an asset

· Eagerness and willingness to learn

· Excellent communication ability

· Mechanical Aptitude

· Excellent written communication

Qualifications & Requirements;

· Registration as an assistant well technician,

· Willingness to pursue and acquire Well Technician Class 1 License

· Drilling and Blasting certificate an asset

· Additional equipment and safety qualifications an asset.

· G License required

· DZ License an asset.
