Maple Child Care Centre Inc. is looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Child Care Assistant to join our team!

This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent afternoon hours with the flexibility to work additional shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

- Assist educators with daily classroom routines and activities.
- Supervise children and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
- Help with afternoon activities, snack time, and end-of-day routines.
- Support classroom cleanliness and organization.
- Provide additional coverage during staff absences, vacation periods, and days off.

Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
- Must be fluent in English, with strong verbal communication skills.
- Must be dependable, patient, and enjoy working with young children.




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check required.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification preferred.

Schedule
- Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
- Additional Hours: Must be adaptable and available to work longer shifts when covering staff vacations, sick days, and other absences.
