At Bennington Heights, we are seeking an experienced ECA that is dedicated to providing high quality child care. We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive teacher, that wants to actively participate in the growth/expansion of the centre.

The role of the Child Care Teacher is to foster and facilitate the academic and social development of the children. The teacher will provide a safe and developmentally appropriate program for all children in accordance with all relevant policies.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and implement a complete program of activities - following How Does Learning Happen? And ELECT
- Provide quality care and care-giving activities
- Use a variety of activities and methods to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide all necessary information
- Assess/analyze children’s performance and progress,



ensuring they are on the correct developmental path (course correct when required)
- Comply with all teaching standards and safety regulations
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment

QUALIFICATION:

- Diploma in Early Childhood Assistant/Education is an asset
- Proven working experience as a childcare teacher
- Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices
- Creative and artistic teaching abilities
- Organizational skills
- Patience and adaptability
- Strong communication, stress and time management skills
- Certified in First Aid and CPR
