About the Position

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and responsible Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will support Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Responsibilities

- Assist educators in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and learning experiences.
- Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, snacks, toileting, diapering, and handwashing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Encourage positive behaviour, cooperation, and respectful interactions.
- Help prepare learning materials and set up indoor and outdoor activities.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents, educators, and other team members.
- Follow centre policies, health and safety procedures, and applicable childcare regulations.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with young children is an asset.




- Early Childhood Assistant certificate or relevant childcare training is preferred.
- A genuine passion for working with children.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Patient, reliable, flexible, and attentive to children's needs.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is an asset or required, as applicable.
- Ability to meet applicable childcare employment requirements, including a vulnerable sector check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
