Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

~ Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate

~ Valid BC License to Practice

~ Emergency Child Care First Aid/CPR/AED

~ Clear Criminal Record Check

~ Strong English communication skills (Fluency in English is required to effectively engage with parents, staff and children)

Roles & Responsibilities:

As an ECEA, you will:

~ Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate programs for children, utilizing the Early Learning Framework

~ Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment

~ Work in alignment with federal, provincial,



and municipal childcare regulations

~ Uphold licensing regulations, workplace standards, and the ECEBC Code of Ethics

~ Build strong, healthy relationships with children, families and colleagues

Compensation & Perks

~ Hourly wage: $20-$24 per hour plus ECE Wage Enhancement if applicable

~ Competitive compensation, subject to adjustments based on company policies

~ Paid according to the company’s standard payroll schedule

~ Benefits paid in full by the company

~ Five extra sick days per year

Hours & Schedule

We are looking for a full time position (40 hours per week).

~ Shine Bright, Northern Tykes Daycare operates Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm

~ All new employees will complete a probationary period of three (3) month from their start date

~ All new employees within this probationary period will have three (3) monthly evaluations before their probation period is over
