Little Haven Daycare is a new childcare centre committed to providing safe, nurturing, and developmentally enriching care where children feel supported, families feel welcomed, and learning happens through meaningful experiences and relationships.

Located within a church facility, Little Haven offers a warm, family-oriented environment focused on helping children grow, learn, and thrive through high-quality care, strong relationships, and engaging programming.

We are hiring multiple Early Childhood Educators as we prepare to open our new Kelowna centre. Join our founding team and help shape a welcoming, supportive environment for children, families, and fellow educators.

You understand the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment while building strong relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.

You are dependable, collaborative, organized, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support your classroom and team.

A Day in the Life

As an Early Childhood Educator at Little Haven, you will:

- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children
- Plan and support developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Encourage children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development
- Support daily routines including meals, rest periods, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play
- Observe children's development and contribute to programming based on their interests and needs
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families




- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding their child's day and development
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety
- Follow licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and Little Haven policies
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and centre leadership
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development
- Help foster a positive, supportive, and accountable team culture

What You'll Bring to the Team

- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification in British Columbia
- Experience working in a licensed childcare environment preferred
- Current Food Safe Level 1 certification, or willingness to obtain prior to starting
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to starting
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate programming
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient, compassionate, and professional approach to working with children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a childcare team
- Strong reliability, organization, and attention to safety
- Ability to complete required criminal record and licensing checks

- Base hourly wage: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Plus applicable BC ECE Wage Enhancement for eligible educators, subject to provincial program participation and requirements.
