Tiny Genius Daycare is growing, and we are looking for warm, dependable and passionate Early Childhood Educators (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3) to join our team in Summerside, South Edmonton.

We are looking for educators who genuinely enjoy working with young children, understand the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment, and want to be part of building a positive, high-quality childcare centre.

What You’ll Do

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will:

- Provide a safe, caring, inclusive and engaging environment for children.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families.
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences, play-based activities and daily routines.
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development.
- Observe children and document their learning and development as required.
- Assist with meals, snacks, toileting, diapering, rest periods and other daily-care routines as appropriate to the age group.
- Maintain clean, organized and safe classrooms and play areas.
- Supervise children carefully indoors and outdoors.
- Follow the centre's policies, program plan, health and safety procedures and Alberta childcare licensing requirements.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, colleagues and management.
- Work collaboratively with other educators and support a positive team environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training and professional development when required.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families and centre information.

Required Qualifications





Applicants must

- Hold a valid Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 certification, or be eligible to obtain Alberta certification in accordance with provincial requirements.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Be able to reliably commute to our Summerside, Edmonton location for scheduled shifts.
- Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search, as required for employment in licensed childcare.
- Have or be willing to obtain current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate for a childcare workplace.
- Demonstrate professional, dependable and responsible behaviour.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be comfortable working as part of a collaborative childcare team.
- Be able to actively supervise and participate in activities with young children throughout the workday.

Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates who:
- Have previous experience working in a licensed Alberta daycare or early-learning environment.
- Hold Level 2 or Level 3 ECE certification.
- Have knowledge of Alberta's early-learning practices and the FLIGHT Early Learning and Care Framework.
- Have experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children.
- Have strong classroom-management and activity-planning skills.




- Are available for consistent weekday shifts.
- Are interested in establishing a stable, long-term working relationship with the centre.

Compensation: Competitive and based on certification level, experience and qualifications
