Nest & Nook Daycare and Angel Wings Daycare & Montessori are looking for passionate, reliable, and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our growing teams.

- Location: Both childcare centres are located in Cochrane, Alberta.
- In-Person Positions Only: Remote work is not available.
- Interviews: All interviews are conducted in person. Virtual interviews will not be offered.
- Reliable Transportation: Applicants must have their own reliable vehicle and be comfortable commuting to Cochrane for scheduled shifts.
- Residency: Candidates must currently reside in Cochrane, Calgary, or nearby communities.
- Availability: Applicants must be available for part-time or on-call shifts, depending on the position.
- Out-of-Province Applicants: We are not considering applicants who currently reside outside Alberta.

Angel Wings Daycare & Montessori is currently seeking part-time classroom assistants and Early Childhood Educators.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring ECE Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 educators for part-time and on-call positions across our two childcare centres.

We are looking for educators who genuinely enjoy working with young children, understand the importance of early childhood development, and are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.

Successful candidates will work collaboratively with our existing educators to support children between 19 months and 6 years of age.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support and implement daily programming based on children's interests, abilities, and developmental needs.
- Plan and facilitate engaging indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
- Encourage exploration through loose parts play, sensory activities, dramatic play, creative experiences, and natural materials.
- Support child-led learning using Alberta's Flight Framework at Nest & Nook Daycare.
- Support Montessori-inspired classroom routines and learning activities at Angel Wings Daycare & Montessori.
- Encourage independence, self-care skills, confidence, and positive social interactions.
- Observe, document, and reflect on children's development, interests, and learning experiences.
- Maintain clean, organized, safe, and welcoming classroom environments.
- Follow Alberta Child Care Licensing regulations and centre policies.
- Use positive child guidance strategies to support children's emotional and behavioural development.
- Build respectful and professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with other educators and follow directions from classroom leaders and centre management.
- Assist with daily classroom routines, supervision, transitions, meals, outdoor activities, and cleaning responsibilities.





QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

- Valid Alberta ECE Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 certification.
- Previous practical experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Alberta's Flight Framework or Montessori educational principles is an asset.
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, issued within the last six months.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a childcare environment.
- A caring, patient, flexible, and skilled attitude.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Own reliable vehicle and ability to commute to Cochrane.
