The Kerrobert Daycare Centre is seeking a caring, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic Educational Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a child in our daycare setting.

The successful candidate will work closely with the child, daycare educators, and family to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace that encourages learning, development, independence, and positive social interactions.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individualized, one-on-one support to a child throughout their daily daycare routine.
- Assist the child with participating in age-appropriate activities, play, learning experiences, and social interactions.
- Support the child's emotional, social, physical, and developmental needs.
- Encourage independence, confidence, communication,



and positive behaviour.
- Implement individualized strategies, routines, and support plans as needed.
- Assist with transitions between activities and daily routines.
- Work collaboratively with daycare educators, families, and outside professionals when appropriate.
- Use positive guidance, patience, and understanding when supporting challenging behaviours or situations.
- Ensure the child's safety, well-being, dignity, and inclusion at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Pay: $17.50-$21.50 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 – 32.0 per week
