We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) to join our growing psychotherapy practice as an Independent Contractor. This role is ideal for a clinician passionate about working with couples and adults and providing in-person care in a supportive, professional environment.

Position Overview The successful candidate will bring five or more years of clinical experience, with specialized skills in EFCT couples’ therapy gained from the Extern and Core Skills training experience. Additional experience with families and youth will be an asset. As part of a collaborative practice, you will work in person with couples, families and adult individual clients, providing high-quality therapy while maintaining professional independence.

Opportunity for monthly supervision is provided.

Responsibilities

- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services to couples, families and adults in person.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver ongoing therapy.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with CRPO or OCSWSSW standards.




- Enter your time spent with clients and progress notes in the Jane App.
- Participate in case consultations and team communication, as appropriate.
- Uphold skilled and ethical standards of practice, including confidentiality and privacy.

Requirements

- Registration in good standing with the CRPO (Registered Psychotherapist) or OCSWSSW (Registered Social Worker).
- Five or more years of direct clinical experience with couples, families or adult therapy.
- Advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) required in terms of the completion of Extern and Core Skills Training
- Comfortable providing therapy in person and on occasion online.
- Is deeply passionate about helping people heal, grow, and thrive in their relationships.

- Independent Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, expenses, and professional fees.

Role Details

- Position Type: Independent Contractor – 15-30 hours weekly
- Format: In Person (110 Eglinton Ave W, Suite 303F)
- Hours: Flexible scheduling, 15-30 hours per week, with two weekday evening blocks per week, or one evening block and one weekend block.
- Compensation: The split of client fees is 65% to the therapist and 35% to New Insights.
