Hiring: Engineering Manager – AI / Agentic Systems | Remote (US & Canada)

We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team building next-generation AI-powered marketing products.

This opportunity is ideal for an engineering leader who combines strong software engineering skills, formal people management experience, and a track record of building products in high-growth startup environments.

What you'll do

- Lead an engineering team of approximately 4–8 engineers, owning team development, execution, and product delivery.
- Drive the development of AI agents and LLM-powered products, from technical planning through production deployment.
- Stay hands-on with coding, debugging, code reviews, and technical problem-solving when needed.
- Build scalable, reliable systems for AI-powered content generation, customer context management, marketing insights, and campaign orchestration.
- Partner with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to deliver high-impact features.
- Lead engineering hiring, mentor team members, and establish strong engineering and reliability practices.

What we're looking for

- At least 1 year of formal people management experience with software engineers as direct reports. Tech Lead experience or mentoring alone does not qualify.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience building AI agents, agentic systems, or LLM-powered products.
- Experience working at a high-growth, early-stage product startup,



ideally through a period of rapid product and team growth.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to contribute directly to code when required.
- Proven ownership of significant product features or systems from development through launch.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience as a founder, co-founder, or founding engineer.
- A solid Computer Science academic background.
- Experience combining startup execution with exposure to established engineering organizations.

Work arrangement

- Full-time, fully remote.
- Open to candidates based in the United States and Canada only.
- No relocation required; travel is not mandatory.
- Meaningful equity offered in addition to base compensation.

Work authorization: Candidates must be eligible to work in the relevant country without requiring new employer-sponsored visa sponsorship. Eligible visa transfers and Canadian TN status may be considered. Important: This is a hands-on engineering management role. Candidates with only big-tech experience and no startup exposure, purely technical leadership experience without formal people management, or no practical agentic AI development experience are unlikely to be a fit.
