Some accountabilities include passing and maintaining governed room inspections, devoted positive working relationships and respect confidentiality.

Description

As an Environmental Services staff, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with cleaning and disinfecting clinical and non-clinical healthcare environments within a hospital or facility. Your typical duties may include sweeping, mopping and vacuuming; restocking supplies in bathroom facilities; stripping linen and making beds; operating industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance and restoration; thorough washing of ceilings and windows; emptying hazardous waste; and replenishing cleaning supplies and linens.



You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting potential hazards to your Working Leader and you may also provide training or orientation to Environmental or Laundry staff.

Required Qualifications

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Knowledge and operation of computers and smartphones. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift. Physically capable to lift up to 25 lbs and push and pull up to 50 lbs of force.

Additional Required Qualifications

Good verbal and written communication using the English language. Valuable computer knowledge for online actions and course requirements. Ability to working stand for long hours and bending and reaching abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience cleaning in a hospital setting or related areas. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment.
