Keep the Equipment Moving

Power Tractor is growing, and we're looking for an experienced, hands-on person to take ownership of the movement and presentation of equipment throughout our operation.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable around tractors and compact construction equipment and understands how to move, load, secure, transport and handle equipment properly.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Equipment Receiving

- Receiving incoming equipment shipments
- Unloading equipment safely from trucks and transport ramps
- Operating forklifts and equipment during unloading
- Inspecting incoming equipment for obvious freight damage
- Confirming units and quantities received
- Identifying and reporting discrepancies
- Moving equipment to appropriate yard or staging locations
- Maintaining organized receiving areas
- Coordinating incoming equipment with the Parts, Sales and Service teams

Yard & Inventory Movement

- Moving tractors and compact construction equipment
- Operating forklifts
- Organizing inventory locations
- Staging equipment for PDI
- Moving completed equipment into sales/delivery staging
- Maintaining clear access to equipment
- Helping organize attachments and implements
- Supporting periodic physical inventory counts
- Identifying equipment that is in the wrong location
- Keeping the yard professional, safe and functional

Equipment Washing & Presentation

You'll be responsible for

- Washing new and used equipment




- Preparing equipment for customer delivery
- Removing shipping residue and transport debris
- Keeping display and delivery equipment presentable
- Supporting showroom and yard presentation
- Helping maintain clean equipment staging areas

PDI Staging

- Stage incoming equipment for PDI
- Locate required attachments and accessories
- Move units into and out of the shop
- Organize completed PDI equipment
- Stage machines for customer pickup or delivery
- Help maintain an efficient flow between the yard and service department

Pickup & Delivery Power Tractor operates a GMC 5500 flat-deck truck for equipment pickup and delivery.

You'll be responsible for

- Local and regional customer deliveries
- Equipment pickups
- Loading and unloading tractors and compact equipment
- Proper equipment positioning
- Correct use of chains, straps and binders
- Load securement
- Pre-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintaining delivery documentation
- Professional interaction with customers
- Safe operation of the truck at all times

Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who already has experience around equipment, trucks, forklifts or machinery.

Required





- Valid driver's licence and any endorsements required to operate our truck and equipment
- Strong, protected driving history; include a current ICBC Driving Record with your application
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Experience loading and securing equipment or heavy loads
- Comfortable operating tractors and/or compact equipment
- Experience using straps, chains, binders and appropriate load-securement methods
- Ability to safely load and unload equipment
- Ability to work outdoors throughout the year
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Strong organizational habits
- Professional communication skills
- Current legal authorization to work in Canada

Strong Assets

- Previous equipment-delivery experience
- Agricultural or construction-equipment experience
- Air-brake endorsement, if applicable to equipment operated
- Forklift certification
- Experience operating skid steers or compact track loaders
- Experience operating excavators
- Commercial driving experience
- Equipment receiving experience
- Familiarity with KIOTI, Kubota, Bobcat, John Deere or similar equipment

Compensation & Benefits $26–$32/hour based on experience and demonstrated capability

At 40 hours per week, approximately:

$54,000–$66,500 annually
