Greenscape Design and Decor is looking for a creative, hands-on Event Décor and Floral Team Member / Lead to join our Event and Rentals department.

We are specifically looking for someone with floral design skills, strong visual judgment and the ability to turn an approved design into the finished product.

This is a hands-on production and installation role, not a conceptual design position. Our Event and Rentals Manager and project team establish the overall design direction. This position takes that direction, whether provided through a reference photograph, rendering, sample, mock-up or project instructions and recreates it accurately and beautifully in the finished décor.

The right person should be able to look at an image and understand how to physically make it: selecting and placing floral and greenery, understanding proportion and scale, creating the right shape and composition, and adjusting the work until it looks like the approved reference.

What You'll Do

- Create floral and greenery arrangements using live and artificial floral, foliage and greenery.
- Recreate event décor from approved photographs, renderings, samples, mock-ups and other visual references.
- Produce centrepieces, floral arrangements, greenery pieces and other event décor to an established design.
- Prepare, assemble, style and finish décor in our Burnaby warehouse.
- Compare your work against the approved reference and make adjustments to achieve the intended result.
- Assist with event and rental order preparation, including pulling, preparing, organizing and packing décor and rental products.
- Install and strike event décor at venues throughout the Lower Mainland.
- Maintain strong attention to colour, proportion, scale, balance, placement and finishing details.
- Identify product, material or execution issues before they result in unnecessary rework.
- Work collaboratively with the Event and Rentals Manager, Design Lead, Coordinator, Onsite Lead and other team members.




- Take responsibility for the quality and completeness of assigned work.

What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who brings:

- Practical floral design experience and knowledge of floral construction techniques.
- A strong eye for colour, proportion, scale, texture, balance and composition.
- The ability to look at a reference image or sample and accurately recreate the intended result.
- Strong hands-on skills and comfort physically making and assembling décor.
- Excellent attention to detail and finishing quality.
- The ability to follow established design direction rather than needing to create a new concept.
- The judgment to recognize when something visually isn't working and adjust it within the approved direction.
- Practical and creative problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently once project expectations are understood.
- Good organization, communication and follow-through.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality during time-sensitive event production.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to receive and apply feedback.
- Experience leading a small crew or providing explicit direction to other team members.

This Is a Hands-On Event Role Work includes floral and décor production, warehouse preparation,



loading trucks, onsite installation and event strikes.

Candidates must be comfortable with physically active work, including lifting and carrying items, extended standing, bending, reaching and working from ladders when appropriate.

Event work regularly occurs outside standard office hours, so flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends and occasional overnight work is required depending on the project schedule. Once trained, this role would be expected to have the ability to lead small teams onsite to complete installs and strikes.
