Holy Guacamole is growing, and we are looking for an experienced, skilled, and reliable Cook to join our team at our new Barrie location!

We are seeking a professional who has a strong understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, can manage a busy kitchen, and takes pride in preparing high-quality food consistently.

This is an experienced position. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of qualified cooking experience. We are looking for someone who already knows how to cook and understands how a professional kitchen operates.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, procedures, and quality standards.
- Demonstrate strong cooking skills and knowledge of different cooking techniques.
- Prepare ingredients, proteins, sauces, toppings, and other menu components.
- Understand proper cooking temperatures, cooking times, portion control, and food presentation.
- Maintain consistent taste, freshness, quality, and portion sizes.
- Organize and manage food preparation to ensure the kitchen is ready for service.
- Handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods without compromising food quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times.
- Follow proper food safety, food storage, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
- Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient shortages to management.
- Minimize food waste and use ingredients responsibly.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and follow management instructions.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of professional cooking experience is required.
- Strong practical cooking skills and knowledge of professional kitchen operations.




- Experience preparing and cooking food in a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, safe food handling, and proper storage procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with a team.
- Willingness to learn and consistently follow Holy Guacamole's recipes and standards.

What We Are Looking For We need someone who takes cooking seriously, understands the importance of consistency, and can confidently handle the responsibilities of a professional kitchen.

The successful candidate must be capable of preparing ingredients, cooking menu items correctly, maintaining kitchen standards, and keeping operations running smoothly during busy service periods.

Please apply only if you have at least 5 years of professional cooking experience. Entry-level applicants and candidates without substantial hands-on cooking experience will not be considered.

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
