Vista Eyecare is looking for an experienced full-time Optometric Assistant who has a passion for providing amazing patient care and working as an integral part of a medical team.

We are an independent optometry practice that has been serving Saskatoon since 2003. We believe great eye care is personal. We take the time to get to know our patients, understand their needs, and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit.

Our Optometric Assistants are involved in patient care from the moment a patient walks through our door until their visit is complete. You’ll work closely with our optometrists and the rest of the Vista team to help each day run smoothly and provide a great patient experience.

- Have previous experience as an Optometric Assistant

- Are detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and time management are critical
- Take ownership of your work and follow tasks through to completion
- Communicate well and enjoy working collaboratively

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming patients, helping them feel comfortable, and explaining what to expect throughout their visit
- Performing preliminary testing to prepare patients for the optometrists
- Performing supplementary testing such as OCTs and visual fields
- Collecting and updating patient information,



including medical history and insurance information
- Creating accurate and detailed entries in electronic health records
- Communicating relevant information to our optometrists and other team members
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, processing insurance, and taking payments
- Supporting your teammates and helping maintain an organized, welcoming clinic
- Cross-training in other areas of the practice, including minor optical adjustments and repairs, where appropriate
