Canada Ironworks is looking for an experienced Welder / Installer to join our team.

This is a shop and field position. The successful candidate will work in our fabrication shop as well as on job sites installing structural and miscellaneous steel.

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of hands-on welding, fabrication, and/or steel installation experience who can confidently work both in the shop and in the field.

This is not an entry-level position.

Schedule – 4-Day Work Week

- Monday to Thursday
- Four 10-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week
- Fridays off
- Overtime may be available as required

Responsibilities Shop Work
- Fabricate and weld structural and miscellaneous steel
- Perform Stick (SMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication drawings
- Measure, lay out, cut, fit, tack, assemble, and weld steel components
- Use grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment
- Check dimensions, fit-up, and completed work for accuracy and quality

Site / Installation Work
- Travel to job sites as required for steel installation
- Install structural and miscellaneous steel components
- Perform Stick and Flux Core field welding
- Read and work from site drawings and installation details
- Fit and install steel accurately in field conditions
- Work safely around other trades and on active construction sites
- Use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment as required
- Follow all site-specific and company safety requirements

MUST-HAVE Requirements

Applicants must have

- Minimum 5 years of relevant welding,



fabrication, and/or steel installation experience
- Valid CWB Stick (SMAW) welding ticket
- Valid CWB Flux Core (FCAW) welding ticket
- Valid driver's licence
- Strong fitting and steel fabrication skills
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints
- Experience with structural and miscellaneous steel
- Ability to accurately measure, lay out, fit, fabricate, and install steel
- Ability to work both in the fabrication shop and on construction sites
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

Applicants who do not meet the mandatory driver's licence, CWB ticket, and experience requirements will not be considered. Additional Tickets & Experience – Assets The following are considered assets:

- Fall Protection certification
- First Aid certification
- Boom Lift ticket/certification
- Scissor lift or other aerial work platform certification
- Additional construction and safety certifications
- Previous structural and miscellaneous steel installation experience
