Your Role
- Take carriage of family law files appropriate to your experience, from initial consultation through negotiation, litigation, and resolution.
- Represent clients at case conferences, settlement conferences, motions, hearings, and trials.
- Develop practical litigation strategies in collaboration with senior counsel.
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, motion materials, briefs, settlement proposals, and domestic contracts.
- Manage complex financial disclosure, property division, child and spousal support, and parenting matters.
- Negotiate with opposing counsel and pursue effective resolutions while remaining prepared for litigation.
- Work closely with law clerks and legal assistants to manage deadlines, court materials, and client communication.
- Maintain professional client relationships, accurate time records, and efficient file management.

What We're Looking For
- Licensed lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- Minimum 3 years of family law practice experience,



including meaningful litigation experience.
- Experience independently managing family law matters and appearing in Ontario courts.
- Strong legal drafting, advocacy, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence handling challenging clients and emotionally complex disputes with professionalism.
- A collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
- Motivation to take ownership of your work and build a lasting career in family law litigation.

Experience with high-net-worth disputes, complex financial disclosure, or trials is a strong asset.
