Our client, a successful Canadian and international organization located near the airport, is looking to add a Financial Accounting & Reporting Consultant to their team for a 6-month contract .

This is a hands-on, doer role . The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and take ownership of operational accounting and year-end reporting activities.

As the Financial Accounting & Reporting Consultant, you will play a key role in operational accounting, including journal entries and audit support, as well as the preparation of financial statements and year-end reporting.

Mississauga, ON | 4 Days Onsite

Key Responsibilities

- Perform hands-on operational accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations and adjustments
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
- Prepare and maintain detailed accounting working papers
- Handle external audit requirements and provide supporting documentation
- Perform accounting analysis and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information




- Support financial reporting requirements and accounting-related projects as needed

To be considered, you should have:

- CPA or equivalent designation
- 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience in operational accounting and financial reporting
- Strong experience with year-end accounting and financial statement preparation
- Experience supporting external audits
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 4 days per week onsite in Mississauga
- A hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and contribute from day one
