Financial Reporting Intern Purpose Provide support to the Financial Reporting team during the year-end annual audit and reporting cycle, and support recurring reporting activities, with a focus on reporting preparation, reconciliations and process documentation activities. You will work on the annual consolidated financial statements, MD&A; and related Canadian and U.S. securities filings of a dual-listed public company.

Scope of work

- Assist with preparing supporting schedules and working papers for consolidation and note disclosures
- Assist with recurring reporting schedules and data pulls from the ERP systems
- Support Workiva document updates, roll-forwards, tie out figures across financial statements, MD&A;, press release and other reporting activities
- Support external auditor requests and PBC tracking
- Support documentation of reporting processes, controls and quarter/year-end procedures
- Assist with ad hoc financial reporting and accounting analysis as required

Candidate profile

- Recent graduate in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statements
- Robust Excel skills. Exposure to ERP systems is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under reporting deadlines
- Good communication, organization and problem-solving skills
- Previous accounting, audit, finance or financial reporting internship/co-op experience preferred

Confidentiality The role may involve access to confidential and material non-public financial information. The successful candidate will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and comply with the Company’s confidentiality, insider-trading and related policies. This is currently a 3 month contract role with the possibility of an extension.
