Job Summary

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the company’s transportation fleet. This role oversees fleet maintenance, dispatch operations, driver performance, and regulatory compliance while ensuring on-time delivery and high customer service standards. The position plays a critical role in optimizing logistics performance, controlling costs, and maintaining a robust safety culture.

Key Accountabilities

Fleet Management & Maintenance

- Oversee the condition, availability, and performance of all trucks and trailers
- Schedule and track preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Coordinate emergency breakdown support and towing services
- Manage relationships with maintenance contractors and service vendors
- Monitor fuel truck service schedules and fleet utilization
- Ensure all vehicles meet regulatory, safety, and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate fleet records including service logs, inspections, and registrations

Logistics & Dispatch Coordination

- Plan and assign daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and service levels




- Coordinate dispatch schedules for deliveries and pickups based on production and customer demand
- Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery performance
- Adjust routes in real time to address delays, traffic, or operational disruptions
- Collaborate closely with warehouse, production, and customer service teams

Driver Supervision & Performance Management

- Supervise, schedule, and support drivers to meet operational requirements
- Conduct driver training on safety, compliance, and company procedures
- Monitor driver performance, attendance, and productivity
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, and driving regulations
- Lead incident investigations including accidents, delays, and violations

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures without exception.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and inspections
- Maintain driver logs
