Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, efficient and experienced Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team at our location in The Centre on a full-time, permanent basis. You may also need to work at the Freshslice location at Midtown Plaza. In this role, you will be the first point of contact with customers, providing excellent service while preparing and serving food items.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an chance to develop skills in food preparation, cashiering, and fast food operations.

Duties

· Greeting customers warmly and assist with their orders at the counter.

· Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety standards.

· Operate POS systems, for order processing and cash handling.

· Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments.

· Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.

· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food prep area, counters, and store space in compliance with food safety regulations.





· Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling and preparation.

· Assist in stocking supplies and restocking items as needed throughout shifts.

· Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

· Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

· Previous experience with customer service and cleanliness in a food service or restaurant environment is required.

· Knowledge of POS systems is a plus.

· Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude.

· Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.

· Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.

· Understanding food safety standards and sanitation practices.

· Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation.

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.

· Food industry or kitchen experience is a requirement.
