Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our dynamic food service team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling and restaurant operations, with a focus on delivering a positive dining experience for our customers.

This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety within a fast-paced setting.

Duties

- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently while providing friendly service
- Handle cash transactions, including processing payments and giving change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including counters and food prep stations
- Restock supplies and ensure all food items are properly stored and labeled
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, sanitation, and storage of food products




- Assist in maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness and organization during shifts

Skills

- Experience in food preparation, food service, or cashiering within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient order processing
- Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and upselling products
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to serve customers with professionalism and enthusiasm while adhering to health regulations

Pay: $15.70-$20.32 per hour
